The PC version of Red Dead Redemption will sport better lighting and shadows, among other things, over the PlayStation 5 release, as highlighted by a recent video.

The early comparison video put together by Cycu1 does an excellent job highlighting how the PC version will be superior to the PlayStation 5 version, which is actually the PS4 version played in backward compatibility mode, in several regards, including the aforementioned lighting and shadows, but also draw distance, detail and more. Ultimately, the PC version seems like it will represent the original game's atmosphere the best, which should be more than enough to make it the true definitive edition of one of the best open-world games ever made.

The wait has been incredibly long, but it is almost over, as Red Dead Redemption will finally release on PC 14 years after its debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th. Developed by Double Eleven, the PC port will come with plenty of exclusive features, including Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide support, HDR10 support, keyboard, and mouse controls support, NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 Super Resolution and Frame Generation support, AMD FSR 3.0 support, and more. This new version of the game will come complete with the Undead Nightmare expansion, but will lack any multiplayer feature, just as the PS4 and Switch port do. More information on the port can be found on its Steam store page.
