iPhone 6 Pre-Orders Open – Thanks to Alibaba!
Thanks to Alibaba marketplace, you can now pre-order iPhone 6 ahead of Apple's official release of the upcoming flagship smartphone and all of its variants. While Apple gets ready for the announcement in September, Chinese market is way ahead of the Cupertino manufacturer - thanks to Apple's manufacturing partners? As reported, some Chinese vendors are accepting iPhone 6 pre-orders offering the "exclusive introduction to the iPhone 6". Using the promotional materials very alike to that of Apple's official website, the sellers have got everything right to tease about the device.
However, the legitimacy of these offers is shady considering the unverified status of these sellers. While that may be to stay safe from any court rulings, the idea of forking cash deposits from consumers makes the entire deal a fraudulent drama. These reports come from the Wall Street Journal which claims that the unverified sellers have been encouraging customers to pre-order iPhone 6.
Starting from earlier this year, Apple has aggressively shifted its focus to emerging markets, especially China, over the regions like United States and Europe. With less smartphone penetration, company is looking to make better relationships considering the enormous factor of growth in the region. Following the official handshake, China Mobile - which boasts over 770 million subscribers - began selling the iPhone in the country bringing Apple to the status of fifth largest smartphone maker in China in Q1 of the year.
Pre-order iPhone 6:
No matter how enticed you may feel to pre-order iPhone 6 on Alibaba, please note that these unofficial pre-orders ask for a deposit from 500 yuan (USD 80) to 7,999 yuan (USD 1,288). Apple's next gen iPhone is expected to be unveiled in September officially with a new curved design and larger display. iPhone 6 is expected to be launched in two variants of larger display sizes: a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and another 5.5-inch iPhone 6 sapphire display phone.
While the former too is expected to be made with sapphire, some reports suggested that Apple might not introduce both the smartphones with scratch-resistant, expensive glass. Leaks have also indicated that the bigger, 5.5-inch phone will be announced later in the year with more premium specs hitting the Android phablet market dominated by LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. iPhone 6 will have a focus on fitness apps powered by iOS 8; an A8 processor, a better camera and a curved design that has been shared by various rear shell panel images of the smartphone.
