Pokken Tournament, the fighting game based on the Pokemon series developed by Nintendo in collaboration with Bandai Namco, is now very close to release on Wii U in all regions. Plenty of new details on the game have surfaced online in the past few days, but if you're among those who has never seen the game in action, you will be happy to know that a new video detailing the game's basics has been made available today.

The new Pokken Tournament video is the game's official tutorial video. The video details the game's controls and mechanics so it's an excellent watch for those who want to learn more about Pokken Tournament before its Wii U release. The video is unfortunately only available in Japanese as of now, but it's not too difficult to understand what goes in on it even without understanding the language. You can check it out right below.

Last month the Pokken Tournament official Japanese website revealed more on the home console version of the game. Pokken Tournament on Wii U will include a single player mode called Single Battle, complete with three different difficulty levels. Local Battle mode, which will allow one player to play on the Wii U Gamepad and another with other supported controllers, has also been confirmed. The official website has also confirmed LAN mode for the game, which will obviously require two Wii U consoles and a LAN cable.

Pokken Tournament will also come with an online mode, which will feature rankings and competitions. Not much else is known about online features as of now, but more will surely be shared on the matter before launch.

Pokken Tournament will be released in all regions on March 18th 2016 exclusively on Wii U.
