Developer Hi-Rez Studios has announced that Paladins Crossplay and Progression will arrive for Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch in January 2019.

According to Hi-Rez, cross-platform play and progression will go live through Paladin’s 2.01 update and the SMITE 6.1 update. Both of these updates are currently planned for a release in January 2019.

“Hi-Rez Studios believes gamers should be able to play with their friends -- and access their content -- regardless of what platform they play on”, the studio writes on its website.

“We are incredibly excited to be at the forefront of this great cross-platform movement. As we are among the first developers to offer cross-platform play and progression, we are still defining best practices hand-in-hand with platform providers.”

Currently, cross-platform play and progression will only be supported on the platforms mentioned above, but Hi-Rez mentions that the team is technically ready to support other platforms as the opportunity rises.
