Apple has just released OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan Beta 2, and is available to download immediately.

OS X 10.11 El Capitan

We're just a day away from the release of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to the public, and Apple is already hard at work forging the next point release for its desktop operating system, OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan. Today, the company has seeded the second beta of its point update to those who are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.

If you already have OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan Beta installed on your Mac, then you can grab Beta 2 straight from the Mac App Store. Simply launch the app, click on the 'Updates' tab and there you'll see the download waiting for your approval. Also keep in mind that you'll be required to restart your Mac once you've installed the new beta update on it, so be vary of that fact and save everything beforehand.

If you're downloading fresh, then you can grab the new pre-release build straight from the Apple Developer Program website. But also keep in mind that gaining access to the build is not free, and users are required to pay an annual fee of $99 before things can take off.

We recommend that you do not install the pre-release build on a Mac that is not your daily driver, as beta software can be edgy at times, and you never know when it might toss a mighty roadblock at your way, so be sure you're aware of this fact before you dive right in.

It's great to see that Apple is making strides way ahead of schedule when it comes to its desktop and mobile operating systems. For iOS 9, Apple is already working on the next big release, iOS 9.1, which is due for release when the 12.9-inch iPad Pro hits shelves later this year. And on the desktop, things are quite evident already when you keep in mind today's release.

If you love riding in the beta lane on a desktop level, then you'll be pleased to learn that OS X 10.11.1 is also available as a Public Beta download straight from Apple itself. Hence, if you want to give Cupertino's upcoming update a spin on your Mac, then be sure to check out the article posted here.

If you're a developer, then we recommend that you update to Beta 2 of OS X 10.11.1 straight away as it brings with it bug fixes and performance enhancements.

If you've installed the second beta already, then be sure to let us know what you think about it in the comments section below.
