Nothing has taken a book out of Google's playbook with the Nothing Phone 2a that is scheduled for sometime next year, and honestly, so far, we are hearing a lot of good things about the device. It appears that we are looking at an affordable device this time around, and yes, more affordable than the Nothing Phone 1, which debuted for above $475 for the base model.
At sub $400 price tag, the Nothing Phone 2a is a recipe for success
Now, a leak has surfaced talking about the alleged pricing for the Nothing Phone 2a in the EU. The base model is said to cost somewhere in the sub 400 Euro price bracket, which certainly seems like an attractive price tag for anyone looking to buy a phone that looks great physically and on paper.

If the aforementioned information is correct and the Nothing Phone 2a is indeed debuting for €400 in the EU, then you can expect to pay less in the U.S. and other markets. Phones priced in the EU are normally on the higher side, so €400 could mean a little over $300 in the U.S., and for that price, I don't think that there is anything wrong with the phone.
If the pricing is accurate and Nothing Phone 2a is indeed that affordable, we are looking at an excellent phone from multiple perspectives. For starters, the phone is rumored to have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 under the hood. Dual 50-megapixel camera system and a 32-megapixel front camera. The Glyph interface is going to make a return, as well. After all, it would not be a Nothing phone without the lights.
As far as the release date is concerned, the Nothing Phone 2a is rumored to go official during the MWC 2024 in February next year. This means that you are not going to have to wait a long time before the device actually starts showing up. You can expect a lot more information to leak in the coming months since we are already very close to January.
If priced right, the Nothing Phone 2a would make a compelling offering for anyone who is looking for a new phone, especially without spending a lot of money. Everything about the phone seems like it would work, and of course, if you are looking for a phone with a great price-to-performance ratio, this could very well be it.
