Mortal Kombat X, the latest entry of the popular Mortal Kombat series released last year on consoles and PC, has received plenty of additional content in the past few months, and more will be coming soon with the Kombat Pack 2. We have yet to see the characters included in the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 properly in action, but it seems like fans  won't have to wait much longer to see how they will play.

A few hours ago series creator Ed Boon has confirmed on Twitter that a new Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 gameplay video is going to come next week. The announcement is pretty short and to the point, like others made by Mr. Boon, so we don't know much about what precisely the video will showcase of if any other announcement will be made.

The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 has been revealed last month. It will include four extra characters - Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface, Alien's Xenomorph, Bo Rai Cho and Triborg, a combination of Cyrax, Sektor and Cyber Smoke. The pack has yet to receive a final release date for all formats, but we should hear more about the matter soon.

As mentioned above, Mortal Kombat X has been released last year on consoles and PC. The game was also going to be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but these versions of the game have been later cancelled due to quality reasons.

After months of development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the current-gen versions of the game. We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned.

Mortal Kombat X is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
