Many are the things that have been done on modded Nintendo Switch consoles, but getting Windows 11 to run on it has got to be the most disastrous among them.
As reported by WindowsLatest, X/Twitter user PatRyk managed to install Windows 11 on the Nintendo console through a complicated process that involved installing Fedora Linux via an SD card and then using a Windows 11 ARM QEMU script while reallocation 4 cores and 3GB of RAM to help the console run the OS. Needless to say, the end results are terrible, as every little operation takes more than a few seconds to be completed, so don't expect the Nintendo Switch to run any Xbox Game Pass game, let alone the most undemanding of applications.

Thankfully, a modded Nintendo Switch can do more than just run Windows 11 badly. A modded console with overclocked CPU, GPU, and RAM can run most of its games much better than an unmodded system, even demanding open-world games like The Witcher 3 and Hogwarts Legacy. Modding and overclocking also allow the console to output at resolutions higher than 1080p, with some surprising results. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, for example, can be made to run at 1440p resolution and playable framerates. Hopefully, the Nintendo Switch 2, with its increased specs, will be able to achieve similar results via its backward compatibility.
