While NVIDIA states that their GeForce RTX 40 laptops start at $999 US, Chinese laptop maker, Mechrevo, has an RTX 4060 laptop available to pre-order for less than $900 US.
Chinese Laptop Manufacturer Offers AMD Ryzen 7 7735H CPU With NVIDIA's Latest GeForce RTX 4060 & RTX 4050 GPUs For Less Than $900 US
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 laptops will be launching on the 22nd of February or next week and almost 99% of those will be priced at either $999 US or above that. So far, the laptops we have seen on pre-order feature a range of Intel & AMD options. The vast majority feature Intel 13th and 12th Gen CPUs while there are also a select few AMD Ryzen 7000 options.
Now, Chinese laptop manufacturer, Mechrevo, has unveiled its brand new gaming laptops which will feature an absolute steal of a price. The manufacturer's brand new 16K 16-inch gaming laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735H which is a Rembrandt refresh part but packs 16 GB of memory and 512 GB storage while sporting a 165Hz and 2.5K resolution.
The Mechrevo gaming laptops feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPUs. This is the most important part as the laptop is listed for a fantastic 5999 RMB price or $875 US for the RTX 4060 variant and 5499 RMB price or $800 US for the RTX 4050 variant. Furthermore, if users really want to go the Intel route, then the laptop is also available with the Core i5-12450H & comes with a similar price point which makes it one of the most value-oriented mainstream mobile gaming options around.
Other than that, the Mechrevo gaming laptops feature all the necessary I/O in the form of WiFi 6E capabilities, dual USB 3.2 ports (1 x USB 3.2 Type-C + 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A), 1 USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, mini-DP, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 LAN port and Mic/Audio ports. The laptop features active fan cooling from a 90mm design and is said to have a decent thermal heatsink underneath its hood. In terms of build quality, Mechrevo laptops may not be the best in terms of design but they definitely check all marks in terms of functionality.
