Kingdom Hearts 3 Launches in 2018, New Trailer & Screenshots Released at D23 Expo
Just as it was announced, Square Enix was present at D23, where a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 was shown and revealed at the very end that the title will be ready in 2018.
The director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura, was part of a conference dedicated to the information related to Disney. There he presented the new trailer and in the end appeared what the fans had been waiting for a long time: Kingdom Hearts 3 will arrive sometime in 2018.
And if that was not enough, the new trailer that the studio has shown is incredible. We see Sora and company coming to the world of Toy Story. The characters are welcomed by Woody and Buzz Lightyear who are both very faithful to the animation performed by Pixar. We have a look at the bout and we also see Andy's yard.
Later, the trailer introduces us to a fight in a store, where Sora jumps on robots that work like Mechas. In the style of Titanfall, Sora accesses these toys and the title becomes a bit like a shooter for a while. You can check all the actions in the trailer below.
After a series of delays, fans will be happy with the Kingdom Hearts 3 launch window. Square Enix confirmed in 2013 that the game was in development, so it has been a long time for fans, especially if we remember that Kingdom Hearts 2 debuted in 2005.
The publisher has also released some screenshots taken from the trailer and focused mainly on the world of Toy Story, not missing artwork and images taken from the battles of the character models of Sora, Goofy, and Donald Duck. Finally, an Excerpt Trailer dedicated to the world of Hercules was also made available that you can check at the end of this article.
Again, Kindom Hearts 3 will be at long last available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at some point next year.
