iPhone Models for 2019 With Triple-Lens Camera Will Be Able to Achieve 3D Sensing and up to 3x Optical Zoom
This is definitely not the first time that iPhone models in 2019 have been reported to come with a triple-lens camera. Looks like Apple is going to be taking a feature out from the Huawei P20 Pro’s optics but make them better in every possible manner, since a better iteration of the company’s smartphone lineup, will no doubt come with improved camera capabilities. According to the latest rumor, these upcoming iPhone models should also be capable of 3D sensing, along with other advantages, which we will be detailing right here.
At Least One iPhone Model in 2019 Will Feature a Triple-Lens Camera but More Features Could Be Revealed in the Near Future
In a research note from Deutsche Securities analyst Jialin Lu via Economic News Daily (image via iDropNews), the triple-lens camera on the upcoming iPhone model should be able to commit to advanced 3D sensing through stereoscopic vision. The iPhone X is also capable of 3D sensing, and like the 5.8-inch flagship released last year, the upcoming model should be able to carry out AR-related activities.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook is profoundly interested in augmented reality, and with Apple having released its ARKit platform last year, it will give developers the freedom to create AR apps for both the iPhones and iPads that are running on iOS 11 and later.
The third lens should be capable of 3x optical zoom instead of 2x zoom. Unfortunately, the P20 Pro is able to carry out this function in 2018, so we expect something truly inspiring when Apple releases a premium model next year.
Devices like the iPhone X, Galaxy S9 Plus, and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S are only capable of 2x optical zoom so the iPhone model in 2019 will be able to achieve a bigger magnification on the lens without sacrificing image and/or video quality.
Since there is still a lot of time remaining for the iPhone 2019 models to come through, we are sure that these are not the only features that have been rumored to come with the premiere smartphone. However, tell us your impressions on this latest note so far, down in the comments.
