WhatsApp is the ultimate messaging app of the current tech era. We don't see it dying any soon. Only downside? It is not to be used on iPad or the iPod Touch. However, it is not impossible to have WhatsApp work on your Apple iPad or the iPod Touch. Here is how to install WhatsApp on iPad and the iPod Touch without jailbreaking.

Install WhatsApp on iPad and iPod Touch:
What you need:
- A computer - Mac or Windows, any would do.
- Download iFunBox app for your Mac or Windows PC from i-funbox.com
- An iPhone - if you haven't got one, borrow from someone you know. Alert: you would be needed to delete the WhatsApp on it, if installed already.
- And of course, your iPad or iPod you want to have WhatsApp on.

Here are the steps to install WhatsApp on iPad and the iPod Touch without jailbreaking:
- Plug in your iPad or iPod touch with your computer.
- Go to iTunes and download WhatsApp.
- Enter password when required and install the app.
- Find WhatsApp.ipa file:
- On your Mac, open Finder and go to Home > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Mobile Applications > WhatsApp.ipa
- On Windows, go to C > Users > Username > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Mobile Applications > WhatsApp.ipad
- Drag the WhatsApp.ipa to desktop.
- Now open iFunBox and click on Install App.
- Here you'd see the WhatsApp.ipa file. Open it.
- This will install the app on your iPad or the iPod touch.
- On your iPhone now, uninstall WhatsApp, if already installed. If not simple download and install it.
- Follow the regular process of entering your mobile digits and verifying with the text message code.
- Once done, go back to your computer and plug in your iPhone.
- Go to User Applications > WhatsApp > and copy Library and Documents files to the desktop.
- Plug the iPhone out, and plug your iPad or iPod back in.
- Again, go to User Applications > WhatsApp > delete Document and Library folders and copy the two files from desktop - essentially replacing them.
Ta da! Access to an iPhone (borrowing shouldn't be that tough considering the abundance of iPhones around us?), a computer will get you easily install WhatsApp on iPad or the iPod Touch without even jailbreaking them! Enjoy!
