HTC launched last year a device called the HTC Max. Essentially, the HTC Max was almost similar to the HTC mini in every way apart from the fact that it contained a fingerprint sensor. Apart from the sensor, the device had several other specifications as well. It comes with a 1.7 GHz Quad Core Krait 300 based on the Snapdragon 600 chipset. This is coupled with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.
Well, it looks like a successor to the HTC Max is underway as well. Reportedly, the device shares several design similarities to the HTC One, and is in fact being said to look exactly like the flagship device. In addition to this, the fingerprint sensor seems to have been dropped for the device. This seems to be a smart move from HTC as the Max's fingerprint sensor wasn't that great. HTC One M8 Prime Details Leak. Device To Look Similar To The One M8 But Have Different Specifications And To Be Called HTC Max.
The successor to the HTC Max is being dubbed by some as the HTC One M8 Prime. This is due to the fact that on the outside the device appears to be an exact copy of the HTC One M8. But internal and hardware specifications of the devices differ. Reportedly, the HTC One M8 Prime will come with a Snapdragon 805 SoC. This will be an upgrade from the 801 found on the One M8. Also, the device will be named the HTC Max. The device in the photos seems pretty final. Let's see how things turn out. The Snapdragon 805 does sound pretty impressive after all.
