How to Change Default Email App in Windows 11 Systems
Sending emails is very simple. If you see an email link, you will be directed to an email client, and you can quickly send emails from there. However, if you are not directed to your desired client, you can easily change it in a few steps. You have to use the Windows 11 Settings app to change any default app. Just follow the steps below:
Step-1: Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar and click on the Settings cog. (You can also open the app using shortcut keys Win + I)
Step-2: Once the settings app opens, click on the Apps option in the left pane.
Step-3: Now, select the Default apps option in the right pane.
Step-4: In the Search bar under Set defaults for applications, search for the application you want to make your default email app.
Step-5: Now, click on the app option.
Step-6: You will be directed to a new page. There will be an entire list of actions under Set default file types or link types. Scroll down and locate MAILTO. Click on this option.
Step-7: When you click on the option, how do you want to open this? Window will pop up. Select the app you wish to choose as default and click OK.
