Struggling with Crimson Desert? Use this overpowered skill to have a much better time against large groups of enemies

If you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by enemies in Crimson Desert, you aren’t alone. The early game, in particular, is extremely difficult, so much so that the huge enemy numbers Kliff has to fight as he attempts to restore the Greymanes can make the entire experience very frustrating

While the game asks a lot out of you at the beginning of the game, there is a very simple yet effective way to even the odds against this huge enemy numbers: the Blinding Flash Finisher skill.

How to Unlock the Blinding Flash Finisher

Unlocking Blinding Flash Finisher is really easy, and can be done as soon as you learn Blinding Flash in the early game.

Requirements:

  1. Blinding Flash Lv. 1.
  2. 1 Abyss Artifact

The Crowd Eraser

Reminiscent of the Ultimate Technique from the Ninja Gaiden series, the Blinding Flash Finisher is one of the best tools for managing crowds. It is so dominant that it continues to be a great option for a long time, even after you have learned other powerful skills.

To use Blinding Flash Finisher, you have to:

  • Hold L1 + R1 (PlayStation) or LB + RB (Xbox) to activate Blade Flash
  • Use the left stick to blind as many enemies as possible
  • Press R2 (PlayStation) or RT (Xbox) multiple times to unleash a series of quick attacks against all the blinded enemies

There are a few reasons why Blinding Flash Finisher is so good, it is effectively broken against crowds.

  • When using the skill, the world slows down, essentially preventing enemies from damaging Kliff
  • Kliff automatically dashes from one enemy to the next as long as he has Spirit to unleash the final attack.
  • Blinding Flash Finisher's final slash unleashes a massive shockwave that knocks back any survivors, preventing you from being assaulted immediately once the animation ends.

In addition to the above, it is very easy to spam Blinding Flash Finisher at almost all times. As damage is so high, you will likely kill several enemies during the flurry, and, as attacks and kills restore Spirit, the cost of using the skill is almost nullified.

In my playthrough, I struggled consistently in the early game against the armies of enemies pouring out of occupied territories, and even bringing another character into the fray didn't help much. Eventually, I stopped fighting fair, as the AI certainly doesn't. After unlocking the Blinding Flash Finisher and combining it with the Spear's Evasive Slash Counter Stance, I stopped struggling.

Try this skill out at least once and you will see: it instantly makes combat more enjoyable, giving you the breathing room needed to experiment with every other skill in Kliff's arsenal
