Here's where to find Bones in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

Although Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced does not come with deep RPG mechanics, you still get the chance to upgrade both Edward and the Jackdaw ship to take on more powerful enemies with ease

Compared to upgrading the Jackdaw, however, upgrading Edward via Crafting is trickier and requires rarer resources, such as animal skins. This is where Bones come in: they make upgrading the game's main character significantly faster

What Are Bones

Bones are a sort of secondary currency in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Although they cannot be used to purchase items, they can be exchanged at the General Store with the animal resources to craft upgrades for Edward, including his health, how many Remedies and ammo he can carry and so on.

Where to Find Bones

Finding Bones requires you to go out of your way, and put in some effort.

  • The most common way to get Bones is by farming them from dead animals. To find these animals, you can synchronize with viewpoints to highlight their locations on the main map
  • A secondary, and quite convenient, way to obtain Bones is by restoring the Treasure Hoarder at your headquarters in Great Inagua. Once back up, you can purchase one unit for 1000 Reales, which you can easily earn by plundering a few ships.

By upgrading the General Store to its max level, all the animal resources will become available for purchase with Bones, which you can easily get from the Treasure Horder without having to hunt animals. Getting enough Reales to purchase enough Bones to unlock every upgrade can take a while, but if you combine this with real hunting, the process is significantly sped up.
