Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.25 is Out Now for PS5/PS4 and it Packs Numerous Fixes Alongside Improvements

Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.25

Guerrilla Games has rolled out Horizon Forbidden West patch 1.25 for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and here's what it does.

Earlier this month, the Dutch developer released patch 1.24 which packed numerous fixes, addressed framerate drops, further improved the game's visuals, and more. Fast forward two weeks and the game's development team has now rolled out another update for the Zero Dawn sequel. Like the 1.24 update, Horizon Forbidden West patch 1.25 includes numerous fixes for main quests as well as side quests and world activities in the game. In addition, the patch includes fixes for machine behavior, including a fix that caused the Tideripper to appear to be warping through the air. So for those who thoughts this behavior was intentional - it surely wasn't!

This new update also packs adjustments and fixes for Aloy's weaponry as well as a fix for the battery stations in Relic Ruins: Murmuring Hollow. Also, this update aims to address several crash fixes that players have been encountering and fixes for progression on several locations where players could end up getting stuck. We've included some of the "other fixes" down below:

-Fixed an issue where Aloy kept her Diving Mask on during two cinematics in Main Quest “Death’s Door” in New Game Plus playthroughs.

-Removed a set of floating climbing poles in the Hollywood Hills area.

-Picking up Dye Flowers no longer results in a canister collection sound effect instead of the correct sound effect.

We suggest reading the full patch notes here.

Horizon Forbidden West is available globally now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The Burning Shores expansion was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 last month.
