Google Unveils Its New Logo – Video

Google has just unveiled its brand new logo which the company will be using on the Web and across different services that it offers.

Google logo

It was just a few weeks back when Google announced a major restructuring in its hierarchy, while also introducing a new parent company known as Alphabet. Today, Google is taking things up a notch and has revealed a brand new logo for the company.

According to the official blog post on the matter:

Today we’re introducing a new logo and identity family that reflects this reality and shows you when the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens. As you’ll see, we’ve taken the Google logo and branding, which were originally built for a single desktop browser page, and updated them for a world of seamless computing across an endless number of devices and different kinds of inputs (such as tap, type and talk).

The new logo is absolutely clean when it comes to design, and ties in nicely with Google's newfound aesthetic language, something which is very evident if you pick up any of the company's service or product, such as Android.

This isn't the first time Google has revamped its logo, and in the course of 17 years, the company has done it on a number of occasions. Google also states that this isn't the last time they're opting for such a change, and will do it again in the future as well.

This isn’t the first time we’ve changed our look and it probably won’t be the last, but we think today’s update is a great reflection of all the ways Google works for you across Search, Maps, Gmail, Chrome and many others. We think we’ve taken the best of Google (simple, uncluttered, colorful, friendly), and recast it not just for the Google of today, but for the Google of the future.

The new logo is rolling out to everyone and you can get a glimpse of it right away if you head over to Google.com right now, with a clever animation highlighting the epic change. And yes, the new logo will also make its way to Android, in case you're wondering.

What do you guys think of the new logo? Do you think this one's better or the one it just replaced? Do let us know in the comments section below!
