Google Pixel 3 With Tall Display, Front-Firing Speakers and Improved Specifications Reveal the Smaller Version Is Slightly Better
After being bombarded with a barrage of Pixel 3 XL leaks, we finally have a pleasant surprise when it comes to the Google Pixel 3. For starters, it does not tout that hideous notch and for the most part, we feel that the company has actually improved the design of this handset if you compare it to its predecessor.
Google Pixel 3 Battery Capacity Disappoints – a Unit of Less Than 3,000mAh but Remaining Internal Specifications Are Decent
Over on Reddit, the Pixel 3 is shown from a total of three angles and while the design of the device can be figured out if you take a look at the images carefully, what is exciting about this leak is the fact that you can also check out the hardware specifications. Unfortunately, the only thing that did not leak out was the storage model and since Google has not launched any Pixel device bearing a microSD card slot, you will have to keep the storage running on this device for a substantially long period.
Google’s dedication to the single rear camera is once again visible, with this being coupled with a dual-tone LED flash. Another thing that we noticed at the back of the phone is the ‘G’ logo, along with a circular fingerprint scanner. The frame of the smartphone also boasts a glossy finish and is home to an elongated volume rocker and a power button.
Coming to the specifications, the regular Pixel 3 adopts a tall 18:9 display that sits at 5.5 inches in size and boasts a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080. Unlike the larger Pixel 3 XL, the regular model does not feature a notch at the top but it does get front-firing speakers for an improved audio experience when it comes to media consumption. However, a dual 8MP selfie camera setup is also present, so we will be finding out what purposes these twin shooters serve.
In terms of specifications, a Snapdragon 845 alongside 4GB of RAM has been confirmed previously, with the battery capacity being somewhat of a disappointing 2,915mAh. As for more details, they will be unearthed at the Google annual hardware event on October 9 so stay tuned for the latest updates.
