The PC appears small but packs a punch, thanks to the powerful Ryzen-RTX 50 series combo that can crunch big numbers and play games effortlessly.
GMKtec Launches NEO-X1/X1 Pro Desktop PC, Featuring up to Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5070 Graphics at $2438
Chinese hardware and PC maker GMKtec has launched one of its most powerful compact gaming PCs for enthusiasts called NEO X1 and NEO X1 Pro. The series is based on AMD's Zen 5-based high-end mobile chips, but utilizes discrete NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs to aim for high frame rate gameplay.
Both variants use the AMD Fire Range Ryzen 9000HX processors paired with the RTX 50 series graphics cards. The NEO X1 uses the 16-core/32-thread Ryzen 9 9955HX processor, featuring up to a 5.4 GHz boost clock. This Zen 5 processor is a monster in professional workloads and works in the 55-75W range, making the NEO X1 a power-efficient system. However, the system has been powered by the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB card for gamers who want to play modern titles on ultra settings.
For those who want no compromise, GMKtec debuted the NEO X1 Pro, which runs on the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor, which brings an additional 64 MB L3 cache for superior gaming performance. It's paired with the GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB GPU, which is much superior to the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB in gaming, particularly due to higher VRAM capacity.

The hardware is crammed inside a small 14.6-liter chassis that appears to be an aluminum case with handles for easy portability. The chassis reveals 2x USB Type-A ports and 1x USB Type-C port at the front, but no information is available as far as its rear I/O is concerned. Since the motherboard also features a compact form factor, you shouldn't expect a full-fledged I/O at the rear, but it should still deliver decent connectivity options. For internet, the I/O includes WiFi 7 and 2.5 GbE LAN, but we couldn't see how many USB ports it offers for peripheral connectivity.
The system will be powered by an 850W fully modular power supply, which should be enough for the flagship configuration and should allow GPU upgrades as well. Cost-wise, the NEO X1 with Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5060 Ti configuration costs 11,999 Yuan or US$1773 while the NEO X1 Pro with Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5070 will cost 16,499 Yuan or US$2438. Both configurations are expected to appear on JD.com soon.
