Galaxy S23 Ultra vs. Galaxy S22 Ultra

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has been out for a little while now, and although the phone has generally received positive reviews from everyone. There is one thing that everyone also pointed out, and that is the shutter lag when you are taking pictures in 200-megapixel mode. Now, I wouldn't blame Samsung because one can only imagine just how massive the images must be, and of course, the hardware and software require some time to process everything the right way.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra shutter lag can be fixed easily but could impact picture quality

Now, it seems that there is a straightforward fix that should let you take pictures without facing the shutter lag, which can be an issue for many people using the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Ice Universe spotted the fix, and to reduce the shutter lag, you will have to download Samsung's Camera Assistant app from the Galaxy Store. For those who don't know, Camera Assistant is a Good Lock module that introduces brand-new features to make your overall camera experience even better.

Once you have downloaded the app on your Galaxy S23 Ultra, all you have to do is make sure that the phone prioritizes speed when taking pictures instead of quality, and you are good to go. You can see it in action below.

Now, it is important to know that prioritizing speed over quality could take a hit on image quality, but we are not sure by just how much. However, if shutter lag is something of a concern for you, using Camera Assistant on your Galaxy S23 Ultra seems like a good way of getting rid of this for the time being.
