As part of its GDC 2026 news, NVIDIA also provided some updates for GeForce NOW users. Two upcoming games have been confirmed to be available for streaming on day one: Remedy's CONTROL Resonant and Samson: A Tyndalston Story from Liquid Swords.
There's little surprise when it comes to the former game. Remedy has always worked closely with NVIDIA on its most recent games, Control and Alan Wake 2, adding NVIDIA RTX like DLSS and ray tracing/path tracing to the PC version and also making the games available on GeForce NOW.
Indeed, today, NVIDIA confirmed that CONTROL Resonant will also support path tracing as well as RTX Mega Geometry. This technology groups together the millions of triangles that make up the tens of thousands of objects in every scene. These clusters are compressed and cached over many frames, where they are intelligently reused as the player moves around the world. This enables geometry systems such as Unreal Engine 5's Nanite with Path Tracing to be used without compromise.
Remedy was the first developer to implement RTX Mega Geometry in Alan Wake 2, so again, we expected to see it return in this new title. GeForce NOW Ultimate subscribers will be able to enjoy the game with all bells and whistles (save for the latest DLSS transformer model, which hasn't been made available to the cloud yet) when the game ships later this year.
The other game, Samson: A Tyndalston Story, has recently confirmed its PC specs. They're not very demanding, but having the game available on GFN might still be useful for some users. For more on the game, check out our recent hands-on preview and developer Q&A.
Othe GeForce NOW updates from GDC 2026 include an upgrade for VR devices. Starting on Thursday, March 19, Virtual Reality devices that support GeForce NOW, including Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest, will stream at 90 fps for Ultimate members, up from 60. The Install‑to‑Play library is also expanding with select Xbox titles, including Double Fine's Brutal Legend and Compulsion's Contrast.
Lastly, NVIDIA announced some improvements to the GFN app. In‑app labels will appear directly on the game art inside the GeForce NOW app, making it easy to see exactly what’s available to play from their subscription services, like Xbox Game Pass or Ubisoft+. In the coming months, GFN users will also be able to link their GOG account and sychronize their game library.
