Galaxy Z Fold 6 Battery Capacity and Charging Speed Makes Us Wonder if Samsung is Getting Comfortable

If you ask people what they miss about smartphones of the past, most of them would say that the whole process of replacing a phone's battery. Ever since Galaxy S6, Samsung has been using non-removable batteries in their smartphones, and while I do understand that from a design standpoint, the same cannot be said when you look at convenience. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have batteries that the user can easily replace, provided they have the right tools for it.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 batteries will have pull tabs for easier removal even by users

This started with the Galaxy S23 series as Samsung decided to add pull tabs to the battery, allowing you to pull the battery out easily. Now, the batteries of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 have surfaced as well, and they appear to have pull tabs, as well. This means they will easily be replaced as long as you have the tools to do the job.

The South Korean certification authority certified the batteries of both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Flip will bring two batteries that are numbered EB-BF731ABY and EB-BF732ABY. and the Fold will also have two batteries numbered EB-BF946ABY and EB-BF947ABY. Samsung has decided to go with a Chinese battery manufacturer ATL instead of Samsung SDI. However, this should not raise any eyebrows, as the same has been the case with a lot of batteries in the past. You can look at the images of the batteries below:

We do know that the phones are going to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, the camera details have recently leaked as well, and we do know what colors the devices will be available. Let's just hope that the waterdrop hinge that we have been hearing a lot about is as good as it sounds.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are said to go official between August and September. We will surely have an exact date for you in the coming months. Until then, stay tuned.
