But it seems that the manufacturer is all set to start rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ smartphones.
The ever curious Reddit users have spotted the Android Oreo beta programme for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The update's rollout timeline was apparently discovered during the rundown of the latest Samsung+ and Samsung Members APKs. It revealed the images and text for "Android 8.0 Oreo" for the Galaxy S8.
If you are a Galaxy S8/S8+ user in the US, then there are fair chances that you will be among the first to get the update. While many Redditors gave also pointed out that the S8/S8+ users in the UK may get the early access to the update. Besides, Samsung's homeland South Korea is also among the favourable regions to get the update in the first wave of the rollout. Going by the past update trends followed by Samsung, South Korea has always been in the top regions to receive updates.
The first phase of the update should include North America, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. The second wave will cover regions like China, France, Germany, India, Poland, and Spain.

UPDATE: Samsung has made the program official for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus phones, today. The new version of the OS will feature Samsung’s Experience 9.0 UI. It is currently rolling out to select users in the US, UK, and South Korea. The update is 1.4 GB in size and brings the goodness of Oreo onboard. It also brings Samsung’s Dual Messenger app on the devices, the app lets users run two accounts of apps like WhatsApp and Snapchat.
To get the beta on your S8/S8+ smartphone, you'll have to sign up for the Galaxy Beta Program. You can do that by heading to the Samsung Members or Samsung+ app in the US, both of these apps can be found on the Play Store and Galaxy Apps.
