Galaxy S8 Announcement Date Is Finally Known Thanks to Latest Teasers
A signup page was earlier leaked to provide readers information on how Samsung would be going the extra mile in order to add more display to the front of the Galaxy S8. As it turns out, there happen to be two teasers of the Galaxy S8, and both of them have revealed the announcement date of the smartphone.
Galaxy S8 Tipped for a March 29 Release – Galaxy S8 Plus Will Also Be a Part of That Announcement
There are two teasers that reveal the announcement date of the Galaxy S8. One is a 12-second one and Sammobile managed to post on in the form of a Twitter update, while the second one is much longer, lasting for a total of 32 seconds and provided courtesy of Faryaab Sheikh. While you guys now know the announcement date, both teasers also highlight the high screen-to-body-ratio that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be touting. Sadly, Samsung isn’t going to be retaining a flat display model for any of its Galaxy S8 models.

In other words, what this means is that you will have to pay a premium for each model and might not be able to grip it properly thanks to the curved edge display. In more than one way, the curved edge display ends up becoming a feature that most people will not end up using most probably because they are so used to accessing the app drawer on their own, so a little bit of conditioning is in order.

According to the specifications sheet, Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will be using the same display tech, but ship out with a 6.2-inch panel. According to sources close to the matter, the release date of both phones is April 21 but that is going to take place in South Korea. What this means is that the phone will officially enter the United States during a later period, and we will be providing you with timely updates on the matter, including that upcoming announcement.
