[Update] Following the trailer's release, many have started wondering if The Elder Scrolls Online will indeed run at native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro. Bethesda's Pete Hines asked the developers themselves, confirming that the game is indeed going to run at native 4K.

[Original Story]  During yesterday's PlayStation Meeting, several PlayStation 4 Pro enhanced titles have been confirmed, including soon to launch titles as well as some that are already available. Among the latter will be The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMO based on the popular series also available on PC and Xbox One. To better detail the PlayStation 4 Pro enhancements, Zenimax Online Studios released a brand new trailer for the game a few hours back.

The new The Elder Scrolls Online trailer is a 4K trailer which gives us a good look at how the game will look on PlayStation 4 Pro. The trailer also confirms that the game will be playable at native 4K resolution, and that even those who will play it on a 1080p HD television will be able to experience increased graphical fidelity.

Last night at the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro announcement event in New York City, it was revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online will be one of the first games to support the new Sony PlayStation 4 Pro. When the PS4 Pro launches on November 10, you’ll be able to play ESO immediately in native 4K resolution! If you play ESO on PlayStation 4 Pro with a 1080p HD television, you will experience increased graphical fidelity; if you use a 4K monitor, the game will automatically run in 4K.

We’re excited to showcase ESO running in 4K on a Sony PlayStation 4 Pro with our latest gameplay trailer. Keep in mind in order to experience this trailer in 4K, you will need to view it on a 4K monitor. Enjoy!

As already mentioned, The Elder Scrolls Online is only one of the games that will perform better on PlayStation 4 Pro. Among the confirmed titles are Ghost Recon Wildlands, Steep, Mass Effect Andromeda, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered, Rise of the Tomb Raider and others.

The PlayStation 4 Pro console will be released this November in all regions. We will keep you updated on PlayStation 4 Pro enhanced titles as soon as more comes in on the matter, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
