Does iOS 10.3.2 Offer Better Battery Life Compared to iOS 10.3.1? – Video
Here’s a non-scientific battery life test (and comparison) between iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 10.3.1 using the Geekbench app for iOS.
If You’re Looking for Exceptionally Better Battery Life Then iOS 10.3.2 Might Not Help Much at All
On the features end, iOS 10.3.2 does not bring anything new to the table at all compared to 10.3.1. Every single change lies under the hood with bug fixes and security patches being the order of the day. However, since it’s a new firmware release, there’s a slight possibility that Apple might have packed something new under that hood that legitimately improves upon battery life, right? Well, someone took the opportunity to run a non-scientific battery test using the Geekbench app, comparing both iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 10.3.1. Basically, what you need to know here is that you’ll get a very, very rough idea if things have improved with iOS 10.3.2. So, without further ado, here’s the battery life test itself.
As you can see, you can discount any big difference between iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 10.3.1. In other words: if you were hoping that iOS 10.3.2 will improve things a lot for you in the battery department then you are absolutely mistaken. But since the newest update brings with it a lot of changes under the hood, therefore you should not discard the firmware completely. Performance related fixes are aplenty that really improve how you perform tasks on a day to day basis. That alone is reason enough to update to the latest software from Apple. If you still have a legit reason to stick with iOS 10.3.1, then there’s no way I can stop you, but keep one thing in mind: the security changes packed in iOS 10.3.2 are aplenty as well, ensuring you are safe every step of the way.
