A Cyberpunk 2077 AMD FSR 3 frame generation mod was released online over the weekend, bringing massive performance boosts without visual issues.

The mod, which was developed like the ones for The Last of Us Part 1 and the Dead Space remake by LukeFZ following the release of the FSR 3 source code, allows users with an RTX GPU to use AMD's frame generation tech to boost the game's performance. The video shared by Neegzm shows how AMD FSR 3 can deliver four times the average FPS in the game's benchmark at 1440p resolution on an RTX 3080 GPU over native resolution, which is extremely impressive for a modded implementation.

While LukeFZ Cyberpunk 2077 AMD FSR 3 mod is only available to Patreon subscribers, a free, viable alternative could become available soon. Earlier today, a new mod allowing users to enable AMD's tech in any game that supports NVIDIA DLSS 3 was made available online for free, although its first version comes with stability and visual issues.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide. You can learn more about the Phantom Liberty expansion in our review.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty builds upon what was an already great game to deliver more fantastic storytelling (with a spy thriller theme, this time around), exciting combat, and very high-quality side content. The perk tree overhaul is a major improvement to progression, and additions like vehicle combat and the overhauled police system are very welcome, albeit not game-changing. If you've been holding out on Cyberpunk 2077 until now, you'll find a huge game with over 120 hours of quality content and an incredibly immersive game world to literally lose yourself in. On top of that, it's by far the most beautiful and technically advanced game available if you have the hardware for it (PC and RTX 40 GPU).
