With a much more serious and ominous narrative this time around, Monster Hunter Stories 3 manages to balance the joy of hugging your Poogie with the challenge of besting an Elder Dragon in manual combat.

CAPCOM will likely announce a free update or a DLC for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

As for Onimusha, this is likely the final marketing push. The game is officially set to launch on September 25, but it would face significant competition from Control Resonant and Silent Hill Townfall, both launching on September 24. Indeed, a retailer suggested that CAPCOM might be considering moving the date up to September 4.

At Summer Game Fest 2026, we had the opportunity to chat about all things Onimusha: Way of the Sword with Game Director Satoru Nihei, who discussed the renewed focus on using a singular katana, the game's "wide linear" structure, and how the developers studied actor Toshiro Mifune's movies and tried to use his expressions and acting style to portray game protagonist Miyamoto Musashi, a historical figure of legendary importance who fought in the Battle of Sekigahara.
