Fans have decided to develop the Bloodborne remaster that Sony doesn't seem interested in making ahead of the game, thanks to the ShadPS4 emulator
Fromsoftserve, a well-known Souls series modder, revealed a few days ago that they are working on a Bloodborne visual overhaul mod that will bring upscaled textures, dynamic shadows, better reflections, and more. In the video below, the modder explains why they are developing this mod while showing how they are going about improving Central Yarnham.
Months after its launch, the Bloodborne Remaster Project continues to be updated with some critical enhancements.
While it may be a little early to develop a visual overhaul mod for a game that cannot be emulated properly, the day Bloodborne will become playable on PC is getting closer and closer. As reported on X/Twitter by Pirat_Nation, the shadPS4 emulator, which has been making some amazing progress lately, is now capable of getting in-game in Dark Souls Remastered, which is powered by the same engine that powers Bloodborne. It may still be months or even years away, but it's looking more and more likely that the popular PlayStation 4 exclusive will eventually become playable on PC, with some of its most glaring technical issues fixed as well.
As of now, the only way to play Bloodborne is on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Those with a jailbroken console can also install the unofficial 60 FPS patch that was released online a while back.
