Black Myth: Wukong, Game Science's action roleplaying game due next month, will be bundled with GeForce RTX 40 Series products when acquired at select retailers.

NVIDIA announced the partnership with the Chinese developer today, revealing that purchasers of eligible products from select retailers and e-tailers (including GeForce RTX 4090, 4080 SUPER, 4080, 4070 Ti SUPER, 4070 Ti, 4070 SUPER, and 4070 graphics cards and desktop PCs, and laptops with a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, or RTX 4070 Laptop GPU) will receive a Steam code of the game to play when it launches on August 20. Black Myth: Wukong is one of the year's most anticipated games. It is loosely based on China's classic novel Journey to the West. Players will take control of a monkey called Destined One, based on Sun Wukong, a character from the novel, who can wield the Ruyi Jingu Bang staff as well as access several abilities and spells, including transformations. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it will support full ray tracing (essentially path tracing), water caustics, and DLSS 3.5 (Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction). You can check out the system requirements in this previous report. It is currently unclear whether Black Myth: Wukong will be playable via GeForce NOW; however, console users may pick it up on PlayStation 5, while an Xbox Series S|X version will be launched later following a delay.

In other NVIDIA news, the free-to-play game Wuthering Waves will upgrade its DLSS implementation. In addition to the already available DLSS Super Resolution, GeForce RTX 40 Series owners will soon be able to activate DLSS Frame Generation, too, granting them a performance boost. Of course, Wuthering Waves isn't exactly the most taxing PC game, having also been designed to run on Android and iOS devices.

Lastly, indie games Bears in Space and The Black Pool also recently added DLSS Frame Generation.
