Black Desert Mobile Now Available for Pre-Registration on Android and iOS
Black Desert has been one of the better-received MMORPGs and has been somewhat of a success in many regions and has generated over $1 Billion in gross sales in just four years. Earlier this year, rumors emerged about the game coming to mobile. There was no release date stated at that point. Black Desert Mobile is already available in certain regions and today, Pearl Abyss announced that Black Desert Mobile is available for pre-order on the iOS App Store and pre-registration on the Google Play Store. The open-world action MMORPG is free-to-play and will launch in Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe in December 2019. Here's the game trailer.
Black Desert Mobile gives the original Black Desert’s maps and in-game content a complete facelift. Running on a newly developed in-house engine that breaks the boundaries of previous graphical limits, Black Desert Mobile offers action-packed content, skill-based styles of combat, and remarkably fast-paced development-to-update speeds. Beyond the combat and in-depth character customization system, Black Desert Mobile also offers life skills to manage that upgrade your camp, challenging world bosses, and PvP content such as Node/Siege Wars. Players can choose from five character classes to begin their adventures to discover their potential - the Warrior, Ranger, Giant, Witch, or Valkyrie.
The PC/Console version of Black Desert is incredibly complex and we can expect some mechanics being cut out due to platform restrictions. However, the devs maintain that the game still ‘retains the spirit’ of the PC version despite all the cuts. One of the most significant changes is the addition of auto questing mechanics. Users on other platforms often have to grind for hours for a paltry amount of loot, and that simply isn’t feasible on mobile. Here’s where the microtransactions come in, I guess.
