Baldur's Gate 3 director and Larian founder Swen Vincke said in his acceptance speech:

Thank you, BAFTA; thank you, everybody. I still can't believe we're standing here. We look at the footage of all the games that have been nominated and they look so fantastic. And I look at every single image of the game that we've made and I know how much work went into it, how much effort the team has put into every single microsecond of this incredibly large game that took so long to make. As a testament to their incredible talent, there are representatives from almost all departments. There are a lot of people who put a lot of effort, a lot of heart and soul, really a lot of themselves into making Baldur's Gate 3, so this is amazing. I want to thank our team, our friends and families who supported us through what were sometimes really hard times. Our partners have been amazing, there's really a truckload of partners that helped make this game. I once counted and there were over two thousand people who worked on Baldur's Gate 3 over six years, which is incredible. Our actors, who have spent so much time in those suits. Thank you very much, this is super appreciated, and you look fantastic.

Unfortunately, as you certainly must have read by now, Baldur's Gate 3 will be the last franchise entry developed by Larian since the studio has chosen to move on and make its own things next.

Beyond Larian's sweeping win, Alan Wake 2 won BAFTA prizes for Artistic Achievement and Audio Achievement, Super Mario Bros. Wonder got Family and Multiplayer, and Viewfinder was crowned for British Game and New Intellectual Property. Venba won for Debut Game, Cyberpunk 2077 got Evolving Game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was crowned for the best Technical Achievement, Hi-Fi Rush won animation, Dave the Diver won game design, and Tchia won Game Beyond Entertainment. Finally, actor Nadji Jeter was crowned best Performer in a Leading Role as Miles Morales in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
