ASUS has officially unveiled the first of its kind 38-inch 4K 144 Hz gaming display, the ASUS ROG Swift PG38UQ.

Diving into the specifications, the ASUS ROG Swift PG38UQ has a massive IPS display of 38" with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution. The PG38UQ also has a 144Hz refresh rate, supported by adaptive sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems. It includes both AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible certifications. Being a gaming monitor, the ROG PG38UQ has a quick response time of 1ms GTG. ASUS Fast IPS technology ensures smooth gameplay with sharp visuals at a high frame rate.

The screen will also include VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, which includes some simple edge-lit local dimming, along with a 98% DCI-P3 wide color gamut & 10-bit color depth support. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 are included, along with some USB data ports. There’s also a tripod socket on the top of the monitor for additional support.

The company is clearly aiming this display at the living room gamer segment. It is definitely a very high-end product and has all the feature-rich goodness that you'd expect from a ROG display. ASUS is well-known in the industry for producing high-quality gaming monitors for consumers. With the ROG Swift PG38UQ, the company has set a new benchmark in the industry as such high resolution was never seen in the market before.
