ASRock has unveiled its Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB custom GPUs while also offering the Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card to European customers.

ASRock's New Steel Legend & Challenger Variants of The Radeon RX 7600 XT Features Great Aesthetics Along With Bumped Up Clock Speeds & 16GB VRAM

In terms of the custom designs introduced by AIB partners for the Radeon RX 7600 XT, it looks like ASRock has taken the lead since the new Challenger and Steel Legend models are targeted towards providing consumers with gorgeous designs along with optimal cooling performance to ensure the best experience. The company has unveiled two different models, with the option for either a black or a white variant, with both of them having their distinctive features which we will discuss later on.

Speaking of the specifications, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU is very similar to the Radeon RX 7600 with the same Navi 33 GPU core. This chip offers 32 compute units or 2048 stream processors, 64 AI accelerator cores, and boosted clock speeds of up to 2.47 GHz (Game) and 2.76 GHz (Boost). In terms of TDP, the clock speeds have led to a 25W increase in total board power or TBP which means that the card requires dual 8-pin connectors.

ASRock's Steel Legend Radeon RX 7600 XT comes with an elegant triple-fan design, boasting a unique white color scheme, with touches of grey and black on the GPU's shroud. The backplate of the GPU comes with an interesting color, which is a mix of black and grey in an abstract pattern along with the company's branding as well. It comes with RGB-illuminated fans as well which can be personalized using ASRock's Polychrome SYNC. The Steel Legend model by ASRock certainly comes under the higher-end range of the overall lineup of variants.

  • Boost Clock: Up to 2810 MHz / 18 Gbps
  • Game Clock: 2539 MHz / 18 Gbps

To cater to the audience who prefers the color black, ASRock has also revealed the Challenger variant of Radeon RX 7600 XT, which boasts a dual-fan design with subtle RGB touches along with an overall "metallic" look. Since the Challenger models as a whole come under the "budget segment", there aren't many features to talk about. However, one interesting thing about both models is their "OC" configuration, which means that both Steel Legend and Challenger come with a minor bump in clock speeds from AMD's reference specifications, without any changes in the specified power requirements.

  • Boost Clock: Up to 2799 MHz/ 18 Gbps
  • Game Clock: 2516 MHz/ 18 Gbps

ASRock is yet to confirm the pricing of both models, but expect the Steel Legend variant to be priced slightly higher than the GPU's $329 MSRP. Both variants are expected to debut in the market by January 24th.

Besides the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB GPUs, ASRock's Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics cards are also available at European retailers such as ProShop. The card was originally meant to be sold through SI (System Integrator) partners but has gradually been entering the DIY segment which gives users an interesting option to select between the $500-$600 range. It should be mentioned that the GPU saw a price cut to $549 US which brings it on par with the RTX 4070 Non-SUPER and $50 US below the RTX 4070 SUPER, making it a decent option if you are looking for higher VRAM.

The ASRock Challenger OC Variant of the graphics card is listed at €579.90 while the more premium Steel Legend OC variant is listed at €599.90. We can expect more models from other vendors to see a release in DIY markets soon.
