First non-curated Apple Vision Pro reviews will be available from Tuesday

The Apple Vision Pro launch has been a carefully planned endeavor, with even pre-orders available through a head measuring process that requires Face ID on your iPhone or iPad. Apple had previously invited various high-profile media outlets and YouTubers to try out the headset, but the technology giant wanted more control over what gets published.

Fortunately, with the AR headset now approaching its launch date of February 2, a new report states that the first wave of non-curated reviews is expected to be available from Tuesday, giving potential buyers a better overall picture of what they are in for if they decide to splurge $3,499 for the head-mounted wearable.

Apple Vision Pro has already proven itself during the pre-order phase, but the next few months will decide if the product is a dud or a success

Before the Apple Vision Pro went up for pre-order, several media personnel and YouTubers were providing a first impression of the device, with permission given by Apple, obviously. This revelation hinted that these individuals were working closely with the Cupertino giant to ensure that the company’s review guidelines were followed to the letter. Then again, a curated review will probably not pique the interest of potential buyers as a non-curated one, as after watching various reviews, consumers will be better aware of what they will spend money on.

For instance, the $3,499 package only gives you 256GB of onboard storage, with the 512GB and 1TB variants going for $3,699 and $3,899, with the fully decked-out version costing a jaw-dropping $4,800. Additionally, the Apple Vision Pro is a heavy piece of aluminum, glass, and breathable fiber, weighing as much as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and even more if you count the battery puck. Remember that this information is already available on Apple’s website, provided you have a knack for spotting the in-depth details of a product.

There is so much more that we are not aware of at this time, so those non-curated reviews will provide a better picture. So far, even with industry watchers claiming that the Apple Vision Pro will not be a home-run product, the headset has accumulated tremendous popularity, recording an impressive 180,000 pre-orders. Still, its success will depend on how well it sells throughout the year, with reports claiming that the AR headset will be sold outside of the U.S. before WWDC 2024 kicks off.
