Apple released macOS 15 for developers with AI features and its deeper integration within apps
Apple just finished its WWDC 2024 event, and while most AI-centric announcements were made for iOS 18, macOS 15 received its fair share of improvements. One of the main features we should look forward to is its enhanced Siri with AI capabilities. It is one of the significant advancements for Apple and will help it compete better with Google's Gemini. Apple has also made it very simple for developers to download and install the latest beta builds on their compatible devices, which means that a configuration profile that matches your Mac is no longer a requirement.
Previously, you had to download and install a proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center to download the latest macOS update, but this time around, all that is required is your Apple ID tied to your Developer account. Once you do that, you will receive the macOS 15 update over the air in your Mac Settings. Be sure to keep a backup of your data before you download the macOS 15 developer beta build on your Mac. This is because the update will be full of bugs and issues initially, which could cause your entire data to be deleted if something goes wrong.
Apple has also released iOS 18 and watchOS 11 developer previews for developers, so be sure to check that out, as iOS 18 would house the most AI integration compared to the rest of the updates.
