Apple Releases iTunes 12.2.1 – Fixes Apple Match and Beats 1 Issues
Apple has just released iTunes 12.2.1 with some bug fixes and improvements. iTunes 12.2 was released on June 30 introducing support for Apple Music, Beats 1 and Connect.
iTunes 12.2.1 released:
Only a couple weeks after the release of iTunes 12.2, Apple has now released the first update to the iTunes. After the launch of Apple Music, various users reported bugs with iTunes as some libraries were deleted and in other cases some users were unable to even subscribe for the Apple Music. iTunes 12.2.1 aims to fixes these and other iTunes 12.2 issues. iTunes 12.2.1 seems to focus on resolving the issue where songs from iTunes Match would be classified as those from Apple Music. This resulted in "unnecessary DRM being added."
Some bugs related to Beats 1 radio are also fixed in the latest iTunes version. This incremental maintenance update promises to improve the streaming performance for the Beat 1 online radio station. Earlier on, there were issues of dropped streams during playback that required relaunching of iTunes to fix. Here's the complete changelog:
Fixes an issue for iTunes Match where iTunes incorrectly changed some songs from Matched to Apple Music.
Provides a way to correct a library problem affecting former iTunes Match subscribers.
Includes minor bug fixes and improvements for Beats 1.
