Apple has released iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15 Sequoia with Apple Intelligence support

Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 a bit early, as Apple Intelligence was rumored to arrive by the end of next month. It is a positive move from the company's end as it will give developers more time to test the builds and report back bugs and issues, which Apple will fix for a stable release in the fall.

If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 updates on your compatible devices right now for free. Developers will have the option to opt into the new betas with Apple Intelligence or to stay on the standard developer beta builds of iOS 18 and other updates. If you want to test the new Apple Intelligence features, make sure that you need an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max. As for the iPad and the Mac, you need a device running on Apple's M1 or later chips.

Once you have updated to the latest iOS 18.1 update, Apple Intelligence can be turned on in the Settings app. Take note that there is an Apple Intelligence waitlist that developers must wait for, but access will be granted in a couple of hours. There are a handful of new Apple Intelligence features available at this time which you can test and report, but some of the major features are still missing, which includes the new Siri experience and the ChatGPT integration.

We will be covering Apple Intelligence updates in iOS 18 extensively, so be sure to stick around for in-depth coverage. Do you think Apple will release a full-fledged version of Apple Intelligence in the fall? Let us know in the comments.
