After Android L's official debut, many users out there can't wait to get their hands on Google's latest OS. But right now, unless you purchase the Nexus 6 or the Nexus 9, you'll have to wait for the update even if you are an Android user. But there's more good news for Nexus users today Developers over at the XDA forum have taken the Android L source code and created builds for a number of Nexus and Android devices.
For those who cant wait, developers at XDA forum have taken Android L's source code and created custom Android L builds for a variety of devices. The Nexus 4, 5 both the 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7s, Nexus 10, Sony's Xperia Z and Samsung's Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy Nexus have had custom Android L builds created for them so far. But other users don't have to worry since if this is a success, then pretty soon we could see Android L builds for other devices as well.
The source built ports for these devices are Vanila builds of Android L. So you shouldn't be expecting Google apps or other features on them.
