There's one more incentive now for strategy game fans to choose AMD components for their configurations. In a recent press release, it was confirmed that Total War: Warhammer will be bundled with the R9 390 GPU and FX 8-Core CPU for a limited time.
To be more specific, the offer should already be available and will continue to be until August 15 (or earlier, if codes run out first). Once you've got your code, you will have to redeem it before October 15 or it will expire, so be mindful of that.
This was pretty expected, since AMD and SEGA/The Creative Assembly had already partnered to implement DirectX 12 and Async Compute in Total War: Warhammer. About that, we've just reported that DirectX 12 support will be available at some time after launch since the developer is still working on it (but is "really happy" with the performance already).
As a reminder, these are the official system requirements you'll need to meet or exceed to play the game, which is due to release on May 24.
