The Zen 5 refresh chips are also coming soon, and we finally have the scores for one of the high-end Gorgon Point chips.

Ryzen AI 9 465 Geekbench Benchmark Reveals Similar Performance to Ryzen AI 9 365

Up until now, we mostly saw the AMD Strix Point Refresh, aka Gorgon Point chips, being mentioned in either chipset software drivers or on platforms like Crossmark. There aren't a lot of benchmark leaks for these SKUs, but today, one such benchmark just popped up on Geekbench. It's the Ryzen AI 9 465, which is going to succeed the Ryzen AI 9 365 Strix Point chip.

If you have read our previous post on this SKU, you might be aware of its specifications. Ryzen AI 400 chips essentially bring the same core configuration, but improve the AI capabilities of the chips by bringing higher NPU AI TOPS. Some chips do offer slightly higher clocks, but some have nothing changed except for a faster NPU. The Ryzen AI 9 465 belongs to the same category and has the same 10-core/20-thread configuration, up to 5.0 GHz of boost clock, and the same Radeon 880M iGPU as found on its predecessor.

In the Geekbench test, the CPU, therefore, brings roughly the same performance as the Ryzen AI 9 365, delivering 2,780 points in single-core and 12,001 points in multi-core tests. If you take a look at the recent scores of its predecessor, they are somewhat close to these numbers. Since each Geekbench result can be hugely different from others, you will find lower or even higher scores for the Ryzen AI 9 365. But overall, the average seems to be near the scores generated by the Gorgon Point chip.

The Ryzen AI 400 CPUs are expected to be announced at CES 2026, with the lineup positioned to take on the Intel Panther Lake series. It is now being expanded to around Eight SKUs vs just three on the Strix Point. Well, technically, the Ryzen AI 300 series consists of six SKUs, including the Krackan Point if you wish to include it, but AMD will now add two more SKUs to the refreshed lineup and will categorize all under the same family.
