First benchmarks of AMD's Ryzen 5 7500F CPU which comes with an iGPU-less design have leaked out and it looks to be a nice budget AM5 chip.
AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Can Be A Nice Budget CPU For AM5 PC Builders Based on Latest Performance Leak
The AMD Ryzen 5 7500F CPU showed up last week and was reported to be the first Ryzen 7000 SKU with the iGPU portion disabled. The CPU features 6 cores, 12 threads, 6 MB of L2 cache, and 32 MB of L3 cache in a single CCD design. The CPU has a base clock set at 3.7 GHz and can boost up to 5.0 GHz on a single core and 4.8 GHz across all cores based on the frequency log in Geekbench.
The CPU was tested on the ASUS TUF Gaming A620M-PLUS WIFI motherboard which makes perfect sense since this is a budget-tier chip and should go along well with a AM5 A620 motherboard which retails around $100 US. It was equipped with 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory and in terms of overall performance, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F scored 2782 points in single-core and 13323 points in multi-threaded tests.

This is a very respectable score for the chip as it puts the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F ahead of the Ryzen 5 7600X in multi-threaded performance and on par with single-threaded results. We have seen that Non-X Ryzen 7000 chips not only consume lower power but can also run faster in some cases due to a more efficient design.
Whether the disabling of the iGPU helps with the added performance is something that needs to be confirmed through more tests but we have heard that AMD is pricing this chip around $160-$180 US which is going to be a steal for this kind of performance. So far, the red team has had no answer to Intel's 12th & 13th Gen Core i5 offerings in the sub-$200 US market segment but the Ryzen 5 7500F can be a worthy competitor to those.
