The world anxiously awaits for Apple to launch 2013 MacBook Pro with Haswell processors. Apple is yet to confirm any specific release timeframe for these refreshed laptops, but it is widely believed that the new lineup is going to come in the very near future. Hot off the rumor mill is a claim that suggests Apple will release 2013 MacBook Pro with Haswell this October.
Apple has already used the Haswell processor in its MacBook Air. Back at WWDC 2013, the company unveiled their new lineup of Air laptops which are based on Haswell ULT. These processors not only bring enhanced computing and graphics processing power, they also bring exceptional battery life enhancements. The 11 inch and 13 inch MacBook Air models now boast 9 and 12 hours of battery life, respectively. Such changes can be expected in 2013 MacBook Pro with Haswell processors as well.
It has already been rumored that these new laptops are currently being tested. Supposed benchmarks of both the 13 and 15 inch 2013 MacBook Pro models have been posted online. A nominal improvement in performance is shown. As per the latest rumor, these new laptops are likely to retain their previous price points, unlike the MacBook Air which is now cheaper than it used to be. Nothing new is expected on the design front. It is believed that the Retina MacBook Pro might get a slimmer profile, some even suggest that Apple might upgrade the FaceTime camera from HD to full HD.
The October release timeframe does make sense. Apple's Back to School program will be underway, not to mention the fact that the holiday season will just be around the corner. Both instances will help drive sales. An analyst recently predicted that Apple may sell as many as four million MacBook Pros in this particular quarter, the jump is expected to be due to Apple's promotion as well as the holiday season.
