Shadow Warrior 2 Launch Trailer Proves Wang Is Back on PC

Lo Wang is back and today's Shadow Warrior 2 launch trailer proves it. After the unexpected success of the reboot released in 2013, Flying Wild Hog worked hard to improve every aspect of the game in this sequel.

To begin with, Shadow Warrior 2 features more open-ended levels that can be freely explored with the new traversal mechanics (double jumping, climbing walls). Missions (except the story related ones) are also randomly generated both in layout, enemy positioning and weather conditions, with the intent to provide additional longevity.

The developers have also added a procedural damage system that will allow players to precisely cut off enemy parts or limbs, while over seventy weapons provide an ample array when choosing your playstyle. Finally, the game can be fully played in co-op with up to four friends; in this case, every player sees him/herself as Lo Wang while the others appear as generic fellow ninjas.

Here's a story overview as well as the official PC requirements (console ports are expected to be available next year).

Five years have passed since Lo Wang shattered the alliance between his deceitful former boss and the ancient gods of the shadow realm. Despite noble intentions, Lo Wang’s efforts to annihilate the darkness corrupted the world, creating a strange and savage new order where humans and demons live side by side.
The once feared warrior now lives in the shifting wildlands outside the reach of his enemies and the neon glow of Zilla’s cybernetic metropolis, scratching out a meager existence as a hired sword for the local Yakuza clans. When a simple mission goes wrong, Lo Wang is drawn into a volatile conflict between a brilliant young scientist, his nemesis Orochi Zilla, and the demonic forces that have become unsettled in our world. The sharp-tongued hero must once again wield lethal blades, staggering firepower, and archaic magic to purge the world of evil.
