AMD Flagship Vishera FX-8350 Processor Would Cost Under $200

The Chinese portal of VR-Zone has revealed some great news for AMD fans that their upcoming flagship Vishera FX-8350 processor would cost under $200 Price range.

This is great news for PC builders since they can get a chip with eight cores clocked as high as 4.2 GHz (Turbo Core) below $200. That’s not it, the whole Vishera lineup actually would be available at much affordable rates than expected before, following is a glimpse of the pricing schemes on various Vishera processors:

  • AMD FX-8350 – < $200 US
  • AMD FX-8320 – $175 US
  • AMD FX-6300 – $135 US
  • AMD FX-4300 – $125 US

The end price could vary by a bit but its confirmed that the flagship would cost below $200 US which gives Vishera a price to performance advantage over its Intel competitors. Just for reference, the FX-8350 would be the direct competitor to the Core i5-3570K, FX-8320 to the Core i5-3450, FX-6300 to the i5-2300 and FX-4300 to the i3-2120.

FX Vishera comes with the new Piledriver core architecture which delivers increased instruction per cycles (IPCs) and core clock frequencies such as the 4 GHz base clock on the flagship FX-8350 processor. Vishera although doesn’t matches the performance of its competitors but its price and overclocking capabilities would be a real treat for enthusiasts. Expect launch between 23rd-24th October.
