ZTE Launches ‘Axon M’ The First Dual-Screen Foldable Smartphone That Looks Neat, Take a Look!
We have been hearing about Samsung working on a foldable phone for a quite long time, but before it could actually launch it, ZTE stole the thunder with its first in the industry dual-screen smartphone. ZTE, today, launched the Axon M that has two screens.
Admittedly, the ZTE has braved to be the first one to bring the much-needed change in the world of similar looking Android smartphones. The company went a step ahead from just experimenting with bezels, we intend to give Xiaomi due credit for the stunning Mi Mix, but Axon M stands out.
We must tell you that the Axon M is not the first dual-screen phone in the industry, the first phone with this design was the Kyocera Echo. However, the Axon M is way better looking than the Echo. It looks neat! Let's take a look at the specifications. We have also witnessed similar design on Lenovo's Folio tablet that doubled up as a smartphone, but its design was not as convenient.
The Axon M comes with two 5.2-inch Full HD displays on a hinged design that allows it to turn from a compact smartphone to a small tablet of 6.7-inch. You can use it as a smartphone or as a tablet. The design is pretty exciting, and ZTE has worked equally hard on the software front too. There is a dedicated button on the side that lets the user switch between different modes of the device. One mode gives both the screens as one while the other mode allows you to run two apps simultaneously on different screens.
Under the hood, we get Snapdragon 821 SoC with 4GB of RAM. The device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and there is a single 20MP camera onboard that acts as both front-facing and rear camera, thanks to the hinged design. You just need to flip the phone to use the camera accordingly. It also features dual speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.
A 3180mAh battery backs the ZTE Axon M with USB Type-C connectivity for power. The device will be exclusively up for sale via AT&T in the United States. It will be available sometime in the next month. Regarding pricing, US residents can get the device at $24.17 for 30 months on AT&T Next.
