ZOTAC is preparing its brand new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID graphics card SKUs, featuring the NVIDIA AD102 GPU.

ZOTAC's New AD102-Based GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID Graphics Card Will Be Available For US Markets, Features Slightly Higher TDP

NVIDIA's AIB partners are known for re-utilizing GPU dies for compatible models by making small modifications, and this time, it looks like firms are determined to clear off the stock of AD102 GPU dies.

To achieve this, AIBs will disable half the cores on the top NVIDIA AD102 GPU to match the specifications of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti model. After we revealed that MSI plans to release an AD102 version of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, it looks like ZOTAC and others have followed them, as they plan to employ a similar strategy for their custom models.

Based on the information available, ZOTAC plans to unveil two AD102 models, the normal GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID, and its OC variant, both feature a boost frequency of 2,610 MHz and 2,640 MHz, respectively. Interestingly, ZOTAC hasn't mentioned this change officially; rather, it is noticeable by looking at the capacitor layout of these new models, which matches with an AD102 configuration rather than the AD103. Most of the time, AIB partners don't disclose such changes, given that they may make consumers "cautious" when buying the product.

In terms of specifications, the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID features 8448 CUDA cores, a 16 GB GDDR6X VRAM, and a 256-bit bus interface running at 21.0 Gbps speeds for up to 672 GB/s bandwidth. The TDP has been bumped up by 10W and is now rated at 295W, similar to what the MSI counterpart comes with. The GPU has a 3.5-slot structure with 336.5mm x 136mm x 74.8mm dimensions. The overall look of ZOTAC's SOLID series is nothing too extraordinary, and the GPUs feature a bulky and boxy design with a black and gray color scheme running around the product.

ZOTAC hasn't confirmed the pricing of the new AD102-based GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID but has disclosed that the SKU will be available for North American markets. The units can also be released without official disclosure, so you can check the onboard GPU die through utilities such as GPU-Z. These models are definitely interesting but you should expect similar performance as we've already seen with the standard models.
