One of Samsung's most expensive smartphones, the Galaxy Z TriFold, has finally landed in the US, and it can be all yours for a paltry ~$2,900.

Samsung has priced its Galaxy Z TriFold at $2,899 in the US

Beginning this Friday, January 30, Galaxy Z TriFold fans in the US will be able to buy the triple-folding smartphone from Samsung's retail and online stores.

Samsung has priced the 512GB variant at $2,899 in the US, but has chosen to withhold pricing details for the 1TB variant of the Galaxy Z TriFold for now.

OMG_electronics recently showed that the Galaxy Z TriFold's hinge starts creaking at around the 61,000-fold mark, while the hinge gives way at around the 144,000-fold mark. Even so, 61,000 folds constitute a huge threshold when it comes to everyday use.

Do note that Samsung claims that the smartphone can endure 200,000 folding cycles, which is less than the Galaxy Z Fold 7's 500,000 cycles.

We reported recently that, as of the tail end of December 2025, Samsung had only sold between 3,000 and 4,000 units of the Galaxy Z TriFold. What's more, the South Korean tech behemoth does not expect total sales of its triple-folding smartphone to go past the 30,000 - 40,000-unit mark globally.

For the uninitiated, here are the key specs of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold:

  1. Dimensions of 159.2mm x 214.1mm x 3.9-4.2 mm when unfolded, with the device's thickness increasing to 12.9mm when folded.
  2. A 10-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED inner screen with a 2,160 x 1,584 resolution and 1,600 nits of peak brightness, as well as a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic LTPO AMOLED technology with a 2,520 x 1,080 resolution and 2,600 nits of peak brightness.
  3. Both displays offer a variable refresh rate that varies between 1 and 120Hz.
  4. A 16GB RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
  5. Storage options of 512GB and 1TB.
  6. A 5,600mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
  7. IP48 dust and water resistance.
  8. Runs Android 16-based One UI 8.0 software and is slated to get 7 Android OS updates.

Moreover, the triple-folding smartphone features the following camera setup:

  2. A 12MP ultrawide lens
  3. A 10MP telephoto lens
  4. A 10MP selfie camera on the inner as well as the outer display
