Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Gets a Teaser – Aims to Beat All Flagships in Bezel-Less Percentage Race
Sharp and Xiaomi started it all with the bezel-less smartphone era and the latter is attempting to put its competitors to shame with the announcement of the Mi MIX 2. According to a teaser, the phone is going to be announced one day before Apple’s Tim Cook announces the iPhone 8 so let us see what sort of engineering boundaries the company surpasses to make a bezel-less phone truly shine.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Teaser Reveals Thin Hairline Bezels - 93 Percent Screen-to-Body Ratio Rumored
The teaser shared by Xiaomi translates into the terms ‘Full Screen 2.0’ (according to Benjamin Geskin). What this implies is the fact that the 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio is going to look pale in comparison to the 93 percent ratio rumored for the Mi MIX 2.
Now, while that will look impressive, there are going to be a fair share of drawbacks that Xiaomi will need to address starting with the speaker. Companies like Samsung and LG did not attempt to thin the bezels too much otherwise the speaker grill would no longer be present. Xiaomi might not care about the speaker grill, but it has a better speaker idea in mind so the user will be able to engage in conversations more clearly and for longer sessions.

As for the hardware specifications, it is possible that the flagship will feature a Snapdragon 836, just like its predecessor came armed with a Snapdragon 821, coupled with a 6GB or 8GB RAM model with abundant amounts of internal storage for a mobile phone.
The fingerprint reader is also going to be present at the back because companies will have to rely on Qualcomm and it futuristic next-gen chips that offer stuff like facial recognition. Which feature of the Mi MIX 2 are you looking forward to the most? Tell us down in the comments.
